Archaeological Assistant III

Support archaeological research and site management across Sri Lanka's heritage locations. Assist in documentation, artifact handling, and preservation work.

Watcher III

324 Vacancies

Provide security and maintenance at archaeological sites. Monitor and protect cultural heritage locations with vigilance and dedication.

Eligibility Requirements

• Educational Qualification: Passed at least six subjects in G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination
• Credit Passes: Minimum two credit passes (within maximum of two sittings)
• Age Limit: Between 18 and 45 years at the closing date
• Physical Fitness: Physically and mentally fit to perform duties anywhere in Sri Lanka
• Additional Advantage: Relevant field experience considered as additional qualification
• Mobility: Willingness to work at any archaeological site across the country

Important: All qualifications must be fulfilled by the application closing date of July 6, 2026. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

• Interview-Based Selection: Shortlisted candidates will be called for structured interviews
• Educational Qualifications: Academic performance and subject passes weighted in evaluation
• Sports Achievements: Sports excellence will be credited in selection
• Relevant Experience: Professional experience in archaeology or related fields valued
• Voluntary Service: Membership in voluntary societies considered positively
• Professional Certificates: Additional certifications enhance candidacy
• Personality Assessment: Personal qualities and fit evaluated during interviews
