Eastern University Calls Applications for B.Sc. Agriculture Degree 2025/2026 (Special Entry for Public Officers)
The Faculty of Agriculture at Eastern University, Sri Lanka, has officially invited applications from Diploma Holders in Agriculture for admission to the B.Sc. Agriculture Degree programme (2025/2026) under the provision of Special Entry for Public Officers.

Programme Duration: 4 Academic Years
Medium of Instruction: English
Intake Capacity: Limited to 5% of the student population for the respective batch
Selection Process: Performance in a written examination and subsequent interview
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be permanent employees from eligible organizations and meet the following criteria:
Diploma Qualification: A two-year Diploma in Agriculture from any School of Agriculture (Department of Agriculture) or Advanced Technological Institute.
G.C.E. (O/L): Minimum 6 passes in one sitting, including 4 credit passes with Science and Mathematics.
G.C.E. (A/L):
Old Syllabus: Passes in at least 3 subjects in one sitting (Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics, Pure Maths, Applied Maths, Agriculture).
New Syllabus: Passes in at least 3 subjects in one sitting (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Combined Maths, Agriculture).
Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of post-diploma experience as a permanent employee in the government or private sector within the field of agriculture.

Duly completed applications, attached with the bank slip, must be forwarded through the applicant's Head of Institution to reach the Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Agriculture, Eastern University, Sri Lanka, Vantharumoolai, Chenkalady on or before 30.09.2026. "Admission of Diploma Holders in Agriculture to B.Sc. Agriculture Degree - 2025/2026, under the Provision for Special Entry for Public Officers" should be clearly stated on the top left-hand corner of the envelope.
