Qualifications

Deputy Chief Engineer

Applicants should possess a Degree in Automobile, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering recognized by the University Grants Commission along with at least one year of post-qualifying experience in a relevant field. Candidates with recognized NVQ Level 7 qualifications and relevant experience may also apply.

Training Engineer / Job Placement Officer

Candidates should possess NVQ Level 7, NVQ Level 6 with five years of relevant experience, or NVQ Level 5 with ten years of relevant experience in a recognized institution, corporation, board, or statutory body.

Salary Scale

Deputy Chief Engineer (MM 1-1)

• Salary Scale: Rs. 91,690 – 168,240
• Initial Salary (from 01.01.2026): Rs. 81,710

Training Engineer / Job Placement Officer (JM 1-1)

• Salary Scale: Rs. 72,650 – 122,970
• Initial Salary (from 01.01.2026): Rs. 65,633

Government-approved allowances will be paid in addition to the salary.

Age Limit

Deputy Chief Engineer

• Between 25 and 45 years

Training Engineer / Job Placement Officer

• Between 22 and 45 years

The upper age limit does not apply to internal candidates.

Selection Method

Recruitment will be based on the results of a written competitive examination and/or a structured interview.

Applicants should:

• Be physically and mentally fit for the duties of the post
• Possess excellent moral character
