Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be citizens of Sri Lanka, possess excellent character, and be physically and mentally fit to serve in any part of the island. This recruitment is open to eligible internal candidates only.
Category 1
- Officers confirmed in a departmental post within the Department of Agrarian Development.
- Must hold a degree recognized by the University Grants Commission.
- Must have completed 05 years of satisfactory service.
Category 2
- Agriculture Research & Production Assistants or Agrarian Service Centre Management Assistants.
- Must be confirmed in service.
- Must have completed 05 years of satisfactory service in Grade II.
- Must have passed G.C.E. Ordinary Level in 06 subjects.
- Must have credit passes in Language, Mathematics, and two other subjects.
- Must have passed at least one G.C.E. Advanced Level subject.
Examination Structure
The competitive examination will consist of two papers. The examination will be available in both Sinhala and Tamil mediums.

Paper Details
01. Aptitude Test
This paper is designed to test the candidate’s logical reasoning, analytical ability, decision-making skills, and general problem-solving ability. The paper may include multiple-choice questions and short-answer questions.
02. Subject Related Knowledge
This paper will test the candidate’s knowledge of the functions of the Department of Agrarian Development and the Agrarian Development Act No. 46 of 2000, including the 2011 amendment.
