Deadline Extended: Distance Learning Diploma in Human Rights and Democracy - University of Colombo
COLOMBO – The Centre for the Study of Human Rights (CSHR) at the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo, has announced an extension for the application deadline for its Distance Learning Diploma in Human Rights and Democracy (2025/26). Prospective students now have until May 30, 2026, to submit their applications.
This one-year program is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of democratic values and human rights frameworks, catering to those who require flexibility through online delivery and weekend sessions.

Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
G.C.E. (Advanced Level) or an equivalent qualification.
Foundation Course equivalent to SLQF Level 2.
NVQ Level 4 OR a minimum of five years of work experience in a related field.
Satisfactory performance at a selection interview and a good knowledge of Sinhala or Tamil.
