KDU Calls Applications for Day Scholar Degree Programmes 2026/2027
General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University has officially called applications for its Payment Basis Day Scholar Degree Programmes – Academic Year 2026/2027.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Sri Lankan candidates to follow full-time degree programmes conducted at KDU Ratmalana and the KDU Southern Campus, Sooriyawewa.
Eligible Candidates
- Students who sat for the 2024 or 2025 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination can apply for most degree programmes.
- For the MBBS Degree Programme, only candidates from the 2025 A/L batch are eligible.
- Candidates with recognized foreign examination qualifications are also eligible under specified conditions.

KDU offers a wide range of degree programmes under several faculties including:
- Faculty of Engineering
- Faculty of Medicine
- Faculty of Law
- Faculty of Computing
- Faculty of Management, Social Sciences and Humanities
- Faculty of Allied Health Sciences
- Faculty of Technology
- Faculty of Defence and Strategic Studies
- Faculty of Built Environment and Spatial Sciences
- Faculty of Industrial Studies
- Faculty of Criminal Justice

- LKR 1000 for each additional programme
