Bilingual Clerk Vacancies – Department of Registration of Persons
The Department of Registration of Persons, operating under the Ministry of Digital Economy, has announced recruitment for the position of Bilingual Clerk (Grade III) within the Management Assistant Non-Technical Segment 2 service category.
Key Details of the Recruitment:
- Vacancies: A total of 15 vacancies are available to be filled on an open basis.
- Nature of Appointment: The positions are permanent and pensionable, subject to future government policy decisions regarding pension schemes. New recruits will serve a probation period of three years.
- Salary Scale: According to Public Administration Circular 10/2025, the monthly salary scale is Rs. 45,230 – 10 x 540 – 11 x 630 – 10 x 890 – 10 x 1,190 – Rs. 78,360 (MN 1-2025).
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age Limit: Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years of age as of the closing date for applications.
- Educational Qualifications:
- Passed the G.C.E. (O/L) examination in six subjects in one sitting with credit passes for Sinhala/Tamil/English, Mathematics, and two other subjects.
- Must have a pass in a second language (Tamil for Sinhala medium students or Sinhala for Tamil medium students) at the G.C.E. (O/L) .
- Passed at least one subject (excluding General Common Test and General English) at the G.C.E. (A/L) examination
